I still wish for peace.....
The Rolling Stones have released an Artist Choice - Music That Matters To Them CD, with their just favorite songs of other artists for a Starbucks (yikes!)promotion. You can also listen to some of those songs included: Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, James Brown; You Shook Me, Muddy Waters; If You Want Me To Stay, Sly & The Family Stone.
More Weblog Stuff
**Do you ping? Some blogging systems will automatically ping you, like Movable Type and Radioland and Blogger Pro, (I believe all these do) but many of us have to ping ourselves manually. For those not familiar with "pinging", it's a way of listing your site after you update it, so that others will know you've recently updated your weblog. Many who use blogrolling.com can signify an updated site. I use an * (asterisk) beside the recently updated ones. Anybody can ping. To manually ping your own site after posting/updating, bookmark this site: http://newhome.weblogs.com/pingSiteForm, and fill in the name of your site first, and then the address of your site. That's it.
**New stuff! Now getting Blogspot updates integrated into the recently updated feeds. This is a beta feature and only updates once an hour right now. Like all beta features let me know if you notice any wonkiness. This will be updating more often in the near future. I just read this on the Blogrolling site; it was written on Sunday, Mar 23.
Per Daily Kos: "No Scuds. No WMDs. No attacks on Israel. But AK-47s, RPGs and pickup trucks. Thank the gods I'm being "defended" (per Bush) from these pickup trucks of mass destruction. I will definitely sleep better tonight.
(Actually, I wont...)"
One very good source for war news. I check it a few times each day now.
Quote For Today
"In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit." ~Albert Schweitzer
Any time you got the Pope and the Dixie Chicks against you, your time is up. {michael moore}
