Good Morning... ! To my Irish family and friends, enjoy your day. (Husband is 1/2 Irish.)
Happy St Patrick's Day!
Global Candlelight Vigil photos here. We stood in the drizzle in front of the old Courthouse on Main Street, and listened to prayers of peace and sang songs. We took turns holding an umbrella over a guy playing the guitar. A few had brought signs, but I got the impression that they were discouraged. A small, but dedicated group. Although we just had around 30 sign up and over 200 showed up. (I went to the event in nearby Hendersonville, NC.) I stayed until I heard them fire up "Kumbaya", and with the steady rain, it was time for me to go. But not before we exchanged phone numbers and are making plans to meet again soon.
I don't know how Duke pulled it off, but they won the ACC Championship and are going to the NCAA playoffs. I don't expect them to do very well. I feel they were lucky to get this far this year.
A new Jimi Hendrix, R & B tribute, Power Of Soul, will be released later this year on MCA Records.
See how Bubba and his family are doing.
Need a funky handbag?
Quote For Today
As human beings, we share what is real. Joy, sorrow, care, courage, and tenderness are real. Tears are real, and so is laughter. These are the currency of the heart. They are meant to be exchanged.

**UPDATE: Kane asked yesterday how old Sky (my daughter) is. And others have asked me about her name, so I thought I'd talk about my sweet girl a bit. Her first and middle name were originally Schuyler Laurel. 'Schuyler' got changed to 'Skyler' because it was much simpler for her and her friends. Most of her friends call her Skyler, but her family calls her Sky or Skylaurel. And she'll be 15 in July.
I thank my lucky stars I'm not superstitious.
