WAYNESVILLE - Pastor Chan Chandler submitted his resignation to the members of East Waynesville Baptist Church on Tuesday, a move some said was the only way to resolve current tensions at the church. link
There were taped recordings of his sermons telling parishoners that voted for Kerry that they could either repent at the altar and ask for forgiveness, or leave the church. His decision to leave the church may just be the beginning of his problems after the IRS steps in.

I met him years ago in NY and he's so gifted. He and David LaChapelle are two of the best photogs out there, in my opinion. Dave is whimsy/sexy, John is dark/erotic.



**Personally, for non-manipulated photos, I enjoy looking at the world thru my friends' eyes. Kane's view of Hawaii, Marie's of the Blue Ridge Mtns, and Lynn's days in Halifax. Photographs, like other art forms, are very revealing.

She has been released to that facility for occupational therapy and seems to think she'll be coming home in a matter of days. My friends Terry and Dena have been visiting her most every day and have reported back that Robin's back to her old self...physically and emotionally. ie-- giving the doctors and nurses grief, I imagine.

Update on Robin - She's in critical condition in the Neuro-Vascular (?) ICU. I'm waiting for further word from my Mother and probably will go over to Tennessee as soon as I can tie up some loose ends here. So I'm waiting......and praying.....



Instead of dreading that family dinner this year, try to enjoy your relatives this holiday season. That annoying old Uncle with the week-old stubble, stinking brandy on his breath, and obscene innuendos. The sibling who Mom always seemed to like best. The brother-in-law whose tall tales and non-stop chatter sends folks in the opposite direction. And any other quirky family members you may have. This Antique Christmas Lights site is indexed by decades. Some of my favorite tree lights were the "bubble lights" on my Grandmother's tree when I was small. Or the pastel frosted glass ones. Now most tree lights are the miniature strings with either multi-colors or all white lights. How about a tree filled with novelty lights?

Holiday Snow screensaver each Christmas season. A personal favorite I've dug up each year since 1997 and always the favorite at work.
