Aloha Friday!
UN Secretary General Khofi Anan tells Myanmar envoy to release Suu Kyi. Her plight has affected me deeply and I sure hope she's soon released.
Is he or isn't he? Well, of course he's.... Canadian. And news correspondant Jeffrey Kofman is reporting the truth from the soldiers in the 3rd Infantry Division in Iraq. They've got something to say about their extended Iraqui vacation plans.
The Airplane Takes Off Again. BMG Heritage has prepared deluxe reissues of the group's first four albums, all set for an Aug. 19 release. ("Jefferson Airplane Takes Off," "Surrealistic Pillow," "After Bathing at Baxter's" and "Crown of Creation" ) I read a review the other day where someone was talking about Surrealistic Pillow sucking out loud. I certainly beg to differ.
Gov't Mule, with family friend Warren Haynes, has a busy fall lined up as well as some solo venues planned soon. The Fall tour will mark the introduction of a new bass player since bassist Allen Woody passed. And Warren always does a Christmas show each year here in Asheville, NC.
Retrolounge. Bringing you the best of bygone eras. [via coudal partners]

Rickie Beth is moving from NJ to Philly. I'm a wee bit jealous.

Ever played the word game Smush at Crinkle Cutz?
Sugar N Spicy is Ilana from Israel. She always has the best pictures and fun links.
Go Fish -- aka Nicole, lives in Philadelphia. She's currently out of town but has fun guest bloggers filling in. She has the greatest "skins". [Philly must be the city of the day.]
