Howard Lotsof Dies at 66; Saw Drug Cure in a Plant

He was many things but he was also a tireless worker for patients rights and addicts in recovery. Howard died of liver cancer, the same thing that killed my sister, Robin. We knew he'd been terminally sick for some time. I probably spoke online with Howard a dozen or so times. We both belonged to the same anonymous drug treatment group. He was the "King" of the recovery community. He was beyond knowledgeable and so giving of his research and time and his generous spirit. He will be missed by junkies, New York society and everyone in between who crossed his path. "Go peacefully, kind sir. Until we meet again."
