From singer of The 13th Floor Elevators, to solo career, a mental hospital and back, Roky Erickson has lived in poverty as a virtual recluse, shying away from the music world as he battled schizophrenia for the past 20 years or so. Now Roky is on the road to recovery and rediscovery and working in the studio while under care and rehab of his brother, Sumner. I've gotta root for any 'phoenix rising out of the ashes' story, and hope to see him do well. (via Tom Hallett @ [The Pulse »]
