Many of the faults you see in others, dear reader, are your own nature reflected in them. As the Prophet said, 'The faithful are mirrors to one another'.

My ex-husband should have read Rumi's quote. Projection and all that! It's 7:35am here. How did this Saturday morning thing used to go when you did it in the past? Did your readers post their Saturday's on your blog or on their own? You've always got it so together in the mornings. I still have the nightgown on...drinking coffee...trying to read the paper and my blogs at the same time. I'm a multi-tasker if nothing else. Also, trying to keep the dogs from barking since my man worked a night shift last night. If he sleeps til noon I will have been successful! No breakfast for me...listening to the wind. I live on a mountain near an arroyo. The wind comes raving down at 20-30 mph. It's quite fascinating. We have a wind guage that I cart around with me on days like this. I'm chatty this morning, aren't I?!
Jill, I love it when you're chatty. I'll be chatty back because it'll take it to explain Saturday Morning Me (SMM).
Here's how it used to be on Easy Bake Coven. In the beginning (2004?) I would visit many blogs and comment on them and we'd all comment back and forth and there was a great connection going on and there would be tons of comments and the SMM's were really funny and we all really dug it.
I begin breaking it down on Saturday mornings and folks would also give me a screenshot, as it were, of their day or weekend and it just grew from there. Some people left theirs in the comments and some people left us a link to their website with their SMM. They were funny because half of us were toking and joking and some of us were hungover and/or having a morning cocktail.
The SMM comments rolled in all weekend long. Not only on Saturdays. It was a way to get to know each other a little better.
After 2 or 3 years the new blog smell wore off, I began working online from home and stopped visiting people so much, and they stopped visiting me so much and the interaction (and comments) stopped for a few years but occasionally I feel like doing it.
xoxo
I'm glad you've taken it back up again. I'll just leave my SMM in your comment section. I'm glad to hear that I can admit to the occational glass of champagne in the morning!
