David Letterman's Worldwide Pants is producing its first film, an independent feature based on cable network Comedy Central's cockeyed cautionary tale, "Strangers With Candy" which ran from 1998 to 2000. PLOT: Upon her release from jail, Jerri Blank (Sedaris), a 46-year-old ex-junkie/whore, starts her life over by enrolling in Flatpoint High School. With her mom dead, she lives with her dad and new stepmother, who hates her. The writing on this show was brilliant. I can't wait for the film. Link
