"The harm this country could do in the next two weeks will outweigh all the good it has done in a century."Pretty fucking severe, wouldn't you say? But I read further because it's George Monbiot and learn that what Canada's leaders have done is reprehensible and at the root of it all is goddamn oil. Fucking oil! Why did I not see that coming?

But its not entirely our fault. The conservatives only got 36% of the votes.
The problem ironically is that we have a multi-party democracy with one right wing party and 4 somewhat left wing (to varying degrees) parties that have representation. unfortunately the right wingers from Alberta (Canada's Texas) get to run the country on that 36%...

Many of you Canadians are gutsy. Everything I've heard or read about Canada has been positive and admirable.
Just wish there were more...
Its so frustrating to watch the cons rule the country into the ground with a minority government.
In a sense I'm part of the problem, because my voting has always been for 4th 5th and 6th party and I've always advocated for voting whichever party suits your beliefs... The cons figured it out by only having one right wing party in such a scenario. Its enough to keep them getting elected...
